Profile:
Richard Green, a co-founder of
the company, serves as vice president of Smallworld's
Communications Division. Previously, Mr. Green was the
vice president of Corporate Development, Asia. He is
also the Managing Director of the Singapore subsidiary,
Smallworld Systems Pte Ltd. and representative Director
of Smallworld Systems Korea.
Background:
From
August 1995 to August 1996, Mr. Green served as Director
of Corporate Development of the company. From July 1994
to August 1995, he was Managing Director of Smallworld
Systems Ltd, the company's UK operating subsidiary.
From the foundation of Smallworld to July 1994, Mr.
Green served as Director of Marketing and Sales of the
company and was responsible for opening the major overseas
subsidiaries of the company.
Previous
experience:
Prior
to co-founding Smallworld, Mr. Green served as International
Marketing Director for Computervision for AEC/GIS products
from Sept. 86 to Dec. 88, where he was responsible for
marketing the company's range of software products,
including Medusa GIS, CADDS and MPDS . During the period
Sept. 83 to Sept. 86, Mr. Green was employed by Cambridge
Interactive Systems (developers of the Medusa CAD software)
in various capacities, latterly as Plant Design Product
Manager.
Educational
background:
Mr.
Green holds a First Class Honours degree in Mechanical
Engineering from Nottingham Trent University, is a Chartered
Engineer, a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers
and member of the Institute of Directors.
