Using Core Spatial Technology

Introduction
The using Core Spatial Technology training course teaches new users how to use
GE Smallworld Core Spatial Technology.

Audience and Prerequisites
The course is intended for new users of Core Spatial Technology.
Students attending this course should be familiar with PCs, the keyboard and the mouse.

Aims and Objectives
After the course, students should be able to use Core Spatial Technology competently in the following ways:

  • Start, run and quit a session, changing the window display as appropriate.
  • Create objects and edit object geometry, by using the trail and probes.
  • Query the database and analyze networks
  • Produce reports and simple plots
  • Understand geometry and topology, and check and edit topological connections
  • Import raster data, and create object geometry by vectorising it.
