Logical Network Inventory (LNI) Configuration

The Configuring GE Smallworld LNI Training course teaches students how to configure GE Smallworld LNI. It also contains some tasks that involve using GE Smallworld Logical Network Inventory to route circuit paths.

Audience
This course is designed for configurers of GE Smallworld LNI 1.2(1).

Prerequisites (of students)
There are no mandatory prerequisites for this course. Ideally, students should have experience of:

  • GE Smallworld Core Spatial Technology
  • GE Smallworld Physical Network Inventory
  • Experience in the Telecommunications Industry

Objectives
Students will learn how to configure an empty GE Smallworld LNI database; they will then be able to diagnose and overcome problems that relate to GE Smallworld LNI configuration settings.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • plan a GE Smallworld LNI configuration that models the business rules used by their organization
  • implement that GE Smallworld LNI configuration
  • test the GE Smallworld LNI configuration by routing simple circuit paths.
